Welcome to our latest devlog for Project Quebic. Weβre excited to share the updates and improvements in Version 0.3.0!
π Highlights
- Revamped combat system with refined damage values and cooldowns
- New sound system and UI implementation
- Enhanced wall jumping and new wall drop mechanic
- Web-GL build now available
- Smarter ranged enemies that can move and reposition

βWhile weβve added a lot of great features, we didnβt quite hit all our targets for this version. We had some minor setbacks with art implementation and basic boss interactions. But fear not! Hereβs a detailed breakdown of the changes in version 0.3.0:
Gameplay
- [π] Combo attack damage changed to 1-1-2
- [π] Attack cooldown reduced from 0.5 to 0.35 seconds
- [β] Jump Uppercut now deals 1 damage
- [β] Added wall drop mechanic (press S while on wall)
- [π] Increased wall jump power
Level Design
- [π] Improved overall level design
- [β] Added checkpoint before first combat room
Visuals
- [β] Added death and healing animations for main character
- [π] Forced 16:9 aspect ratio
Audio
- [β] Implemented new sound system
UI
- [β] Implemented new UI features
- [π] Mouse cursor now hides when not in use
Enemy AI
- [π] Ranged enemies can now move and reposition
Bug Fixes
- [π] Fixed several issues with camera movement, including improved lerping between rooms
- [π] Resolved problems with enemy health not resetting properly in combat rooms
- [π] Fixed dash animation issues, including lingering effects after touching ground/wall
- [π] Corrected AFK enemy behavior after player death and respawn
- [π] Fixed an issue where the map wouldnβt load correctly when quitting and rejoining
- [π] Resolved conflicts with mouse hover in UI elements
- [π] Fixed crashes related to returning to the main menu from the pause screen
- [π] Corrected issues with the pause screen mouse cursor
- [π] Addressed problems with returning to the main menu after ending the game
- [π] Fixed Corgi dash trails (ghost effect)

As we move forward, weβll be focusing on further refining the combat system and expanding our level designs. Weβre also excited to introduce boss encounters in the next update to ramp up the excitement!
